Funeral Memorial Bagpiper (714) 397-7823

I have extensive experience performing funerals and memorials. My approach is always to honor the fallen- that is of the utmost importance. Whether is it a military funeral, or the passing of a loved one I do my absolute best to bring honor and dignity to their passing.

Secondly I am there to play and support the family, friends and acquaintances of the deceased. I have performed for families before and after a memorial service. At the graveside I’ve played laments and lead pall bearers to the final resting place. I’ve also been on cruises where the family has spread ashes over the waters of the Pacific ocean. Whatever the requirement of the family- I am able to deliver and perform. If the family wishes it to be a somber occasion I have many tunes that are appropriate to the occasion. At the request of some families they wish to have a wake and celebrate the passing in a more joyous manner- I am also able to do that or strike an appropriate balance between the two.

I have played with honor guards and at the services of military servicemen and also for the police and firemen when they wish to honor a fallen comrade. I’ve been asked too to play Taps on the pipes when a bugler is not available.

As a client of mine you can expect: an outstanding instrument with a beautiful sound played expertly; an easy process- it should be as easy and clear as possible; a bagpiper who is 100% reliable with a perfect on time record, a pro – pressed and looking smart, and lastly a piper who is approachable and friendly

In terms of repertoire I know the famous tunes like Amazing Grace, Scotland the Brave, Danny Boy, When Irish Eyes are Smiling, The Flowers of the Forest, Going Home, The Sleeping Tune and Taps but I also know many other tunes that are appropriate to the occasion. Whatever is required I will do my very best to bring it on the day. There is only one chance to get it right. Please contact me and we can discuss what you need- (714) 397-7823. I am flexible, considerate and reliable. I will come fully prepared and dressed for the occasion and will tune and play a beautiful sounding instrument. If you have any further doubts please look over my customer’s testimonials. Thanks for you consideration.

Here is a review I just received recently from a client Lisa Stockdale:

Wow.

I booked Stephen for my fathers memorial party. I had high hopes… but was not prepared to be as totally blown away as I was. Stephen was amazing. He was so good at returning emails and phone calls during the planning phase, and kept me at ease through out. Very professional and kind. On the day of the big event, he was on time, looked fantastic, and… those PIPES. What a true talent. Not a dry eye in the house. He then proceeded to stay awhile and play for some of the guests. He helped me pick the correct songs to honor my father, and I can confidently say he really made our day. I highly recommend Stephen and his glorious bagpipes.

Another from AnneMarie Marold:

Excellent Musician

Very considerate and easy to communicate with, showed up for our memorial service early and prepared. The family all commented on how caring and thoughtful he was, and everyone agreed that his rendition of Amazing Grace was beautiful and moving. Would highly recommend Stephen for any event. -With much appreciation

And another from Lisa Rogers:

In a word, Stephen is SPECTACULAR.

How can we begin to tell you how much having Stephen play at my father-in-laws burial at sea memorial meant to everyone there? Stephen is so personable and helpful at such a time. And his playing sooooo beautiful- he made the pipes sound like an orchestra (esp. on Amazing Grace!!). Everything we could have wished for. His performance really made the ceremonial farewell a very intimate and treasured moment for our family – enabling us to truly celebrate the life of our loved one with meaningful scottish irish hymns — it was a beautiful morning at sea. Many thanks to Stephen!
